Hi,
In general for a headshot a tele in the range 80-105 is recomended. If 
you go shorter the nose will be too big. I'm not sure what the crop 
factor is for the RD. But even when it is 2 the 35 might be a bit short.
Of course there are always exceptions to this general rule and if the 35 
is the only lens you have, use it.
