Subject: [Leica] Leica Solms LUG LHSA Buyout

Well I'm not a business expert, and I don't play one on t.v., but I
can't think of ever reading an announcement by a U.S. company that it's
losses were equal to half it's market cap...Except perhaps some buggy
whip manufacturer that's long gone.

It's not great news, of course.

But some of the announcement is just what the board is obligated to do
when a certain percentage of capital is used up. The wording is just
what has to be said so that the board meets the requirements of law.

But to get to that point where you have to start covering your tracks
(the board doesn't want to be held personally responsible now do they)
... to get to that point is no good news.

They'll need a plan :-)
