I wouldn't go so far that it's out of the box ready to shoot. To date 
Canon has never been able to have a clean white balance. Chances are 
you'll have to do a custom reset of the white balance. And never mind 
the proverbial Canon exposure presets, digital or film camera, that are 
consistently set for underexposure. But at least they are inching their 
way out of a hole with better flash exposure settings.
