Don't know; haven't got an R-D1. Do know that it works excellently on my M cameras. > Can anybody give me an opnioun on this? Does it work? Is it worth the > money? I probably paid $75.-80 for mine 35 years ago. Was it worth it? yes indeed, as I have used it fairly frequently. It not only can eliminate reflections but can be used carefully to eliminate only a part of the reflections if that suits you image. Also darkens blue sky remarkably,l especially with the Kodachrome emulsions I use most. But remember that a brand-new Leica M4 then listed for $450. and would be bought for $398. Today I would probably pause at the current price and weigh my guess as to usage against the cost. Just as you should do. Seth
