For many years, I've been shooting Fuji Superia 400 and having it done by overnight Kodak Picture Perfect processing (through my favorite local camera repairman) in the Chicago area. This combination of Fuji film and Kodak processing really punches up the color and saturation in the results. My favorite 1-hour locations use Fuji Frontier processing and while it's very good the Fuji/Kodak combo just seems to have more snap. That said, I've also been using the Portra 400UC film and Kodak Processing more and more. While it raises my costs, again I like the more vivid colors I get with this film as well as the exceptionally fine grain. My scanner, a Nikon CS4000ED also likes the Portra films. In the ISO100 category, Reala is a great film but the newer Kodak 100UC (Ultra Color) - doesn't seem to be available in the Portra label any more, also delivers vibrant colors, fine grain and excellent scans.
