People will be happy about having their 100 turn into a 200 as well as a 150. As a simplified example. It's really different sets of ranges with zooms as of late. And opt for this not because of faster speed but just because they want to have the 200 option. What strikes me as more obvious is giving that option for say a full frame 24x36mm digital camera. Let them go 1.5 too. That way they have that option to use the smaller, lighter sharper glass designed for this smaller image circle. Which is getting to be quite an accepted format. Feels old! And while they're at it give them that 2x option as well. So they'd get three choices! This would make for another format choice but perhaps Sigma as they are now making glass for the Olympus E system which uses that x2 format might also make the same glass for other more regular DSLR's which could also opt for that even smaller spunkier faster lighter sharper more depth of field format. Ok not really sharper in the end. You get more on a roll. Give me 72 exposures any day. Double you options Double your fun With double format Double format Double format...
