What nobody seems to have mentioned is SECURITY. Most wireless access points will work out of the box with no, or very little, configuration. But they will be accessable to everybody that is in range of the radio, i.e. the neighbours, the kids driving around looking for wireless networks to hack, etc. This is not something You want when You are using the network to run a business. So You need to assign password to the wireless network and configure each computer that shall be allowed to access the network with the same password. A warning, there are "tools" available that can sniff the radio traffic and break the encrypted passwords using brute force methods in as little as 10 minutes. It is also normally possible to configure the wireless access point to only accept connections from specific comuters by specifying the physical address, (MAC address), of the wireless network card in the computers that are allowed access. /Anders Nygren
