Subject: [Leica] OT ! a naked walmart
From: cmbrow at wm.edu (Chandos Michael Brown)

Excuse me, Marc? I object to a great number of things that I feel no
need to comment on, or, rather, I comment on them as they seem relevant
to the topic. It's of greater concern to me in the context of this
thread that Walmart's *own* audit revealed over 1,300 violations of
labor laws governing the employment of minors in *one*, count 'em, *one*
week.

My views regarding slave labor in China, or slavery in Asia and Africa
(or Los Angeles and Manhattan, for that matter), are immaterial to this
issue.

Cheers!

Chandos

BUSINESS WEEK is a moderate leftish organ, akin to MARKETPLACE on
National
Public Radio. As long as you understand its biases, you are in good
shape
to obtain some valuable information there. Such is not the case with
the
NEW YORK REVIEW OF BOOKS, which is simply neo-Marxist in its approach
and
tone.

And I am awaiting your response to my condemnation of doing business
with
Red China. I note that you appear to accept their use of slave labor
and
the like as an acceptable part of international trade. If you object to
trade with Red China, I would appreciate your saying so.
