Head and left arm go through hook strap so camera hangs at my left side without fear of slipping off the right shoulder. Conceals nicely under coat and can be raised to the eye for a quick picture when necessary while attached to strap. For extended periods of photo readiness camera is unhooked from strap and remains "glued" to my right hand with the sling. Very comfortable and secure feeling while instantly ready to raise to eye for a shot. Fannie pack serves as a safe holder while changing lenses and allows me to pack everything away when photography is not appropriate.
