As I mentioned so many years ago, how many will take time out to print 
their negs on silver-gelatin fiber before it is too late? Not too many, 
I fear.
Personally, I think the faster corruption of materials is a fail safe. 
No generation should be able to manufacture more history, or data, than 
it can digest.
