Subject: [Leica] Wait! Don't Kill That Film!!

Here's a trick.  First, always insert film exactly the same way, say, 
with the camera wound on and the first sprocket hole on the trimmed 
side of the leader engaged with the exposed sprocket tooth.  When 
removing a half used film, ensure it's wound on and note the frame 
number.  Write the number on the film canister.  Reload it so that the 
second sprocket hole on the trimmed side of the leader is engaged with 
the exposed sprocket tooth (camera wound on of course, to be 
consistent).  Wind to the number the film was up to and away you go.  
There will be a slightly wider line between two of the frames, which 
will make your lab tech wonder.

It works.  But I don't so this with films that matter.  :-)
