It may be gilding the lily, but the old 35/1.4 'lux has always been
my medium w/a of choice. It sits most of the time on an M2, to which
it is ideally suited.
Yes, it's definitely on the soft side wide open, but the colour
rendering is very pleasing, and part of the fun of using Leica glass
is exploiting the particular characteristics of each lens.

I'd agree with Tarek that it sharpens up very nicely as you stop
down, and, of course, at smaller apertures it's an ideal lens to zone
focus.
