Hi Barry,
Yep on a good day riding the ferry is a photographer's nirvana for pictures.
On a bad day it's still beyond belief and limited only to the photographer's
imagination.

One can with good weather as the season changes, take a ferry before the sun
comes up and be on the water as the sun breaks over the horizon backed by
the Coast Mountain Range on the Mainland. Or later in the day catch the west
bound ferry to the Island as the sunsets for very magical moments through
the twilight zone into darkness. Beautiful skies of colour.

Or you can get very lucky and shoot, I mean photograph, a pod of Orca
whales. Or huge ocean going freighters inbound to Vancouver or outbound to
the Pacific Ocean. Yep it's almost limitless for subjects.
