Subject: [Leica] soo.. anyone ordered a R8/R9 digital back yet?

At 10M pix, I would think a 20x30 would be a piece of cake. I have seen
this size prints from the 6.1 M pix cameras that were just beautiful and
very sharp, so this should be a no brainer for the DMR.

I've been told by the local importer that pre-release orders have
soaked up all of the first six months deliveries of the digi modul R.

I'd love one but am wondering how well the pics will enlarge to 20 x 30
inch. A digi back would make using my home made infra red trigger so
much easier. I'd be able to assess how well I've got the IR beam and
the camera lined up straight away. On this, I had a though the other
day - would it be possible to stick a piece of polaroid film in an R8
and take a test shot? Does one have to have a polaroid back?
