In Zion National Park... Climbers who can venture up virtually vertical faces amaze me. It amazes me more that they can SLEEP up there. Geesh! This is a crop of about a half frame or so shot with the 100mm APO. <http://www.splitsecondfilms.com/2004-October/Provia-01-ZionD2R1-crp-crv-shrp.jpg> North Rim of the Grand Canyon at sunset. My wife Jan shoots some video. <http://www.splitsecondfilms.com/2004-October/Provia-00-NrthRm2-crp-crv-shrp.jpg> Admiring the moonrise, north rim, Grand Canyon. <http://www.splitsecondfilms.com/2004-October/Provia-19-NrthRm2-crp-crv-shrp.jpg> I'm a sucker for rain with cross-slanted light. This was taken as we left the tribal park at Monument Valley. <http://www.splitsecondfilms.com/2004-October/Provia-17-MnmtVly-crp-crv-shrp.jpg> Welcome to the rain! I still have Monument Valley mud on the BMW. <http://www.splitsecondfilms.com/2004-October/Provia-32-MnmtVly2-crp-crv-shrp-prnt.jpg> Our visit to Canyon DeChelley was dominated by storm... <http://www.splitsecondfilms.com/2004-October/E100G-12-DeChelly-crp-crv-shrp.jpg> Storms arrived at the Painted Desert as we did. Lousy for walking around but fascinating. This photographer (obviously digital) is a darn site braver than I. Just as we were venturing out the park ranger appeared and moved people on. <http://www.splitsecondfilms.com/2004-October/Provia-07-PtfdFrst-crp-crv-shrp-tch.jpg> Nothing like a bit of down-draft and rotation to make for an uneasy experience. We were pelted with hail only minutes later. A tornado set down about this time but on the other verge of the storm. <http://www.splitsecondfilms.com/2004-October/Provia-10-PtfdFrst-crp-crv-adj.jpg> Your comments and suggestions are always most welcome.
