On the M6 you can substitute a single 3 volt lithium cell for the 2 silver
oxide cells. I assume this is the same for the M7. The lithium cell works
slightly better at low temps. Stiff focussing can be a bit anoying but is
not usually a show stopper. Like others have pointed out keeping your camera
under your parka will keep it a little warmer, but don't keep it against
your body where it will be prone to condensation. Wind and rewind slowly to
minimise the chances of film breakage.
