They're not moving; they won't be moving; they've never been moving.
Leica has always been a very stodgy company, anchored to its past and
traditions. Luckily, it was a tradition of precision engineering and
optical excellence - but neither of those have much to do with
innovation.

Didier, were they showing a black version of the new
Zeiss Ikon at Photokina? And were you able to look
through the viewfinder of any sample cameras?

I agree this is potentially an exciting M camera, if
Cosina can build it (despite their clunky shutters) --
and price it -- right.

Apparently, the new camera has taken the folks at
Solms somewhat by surprise.
