That rumor described the camera as a sort of 35 mm formate hasselblad - a box with a shutter and lens mount, and a series of backs, including digital, finders, and lenses. That would be fantastically sweet. But alas. It is hard to understand why they'd be introducing a new film body now. On the other hand, it really doesn't sound all that different from the F5, and it may have started in development back when it still seemed that film had a chance.... -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Dan C Sent: Saturday, September 18, 2004 9:55 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] OT: Nikon F6 There is no mention of that in the downloadable brochure. But who knows, maybe they will announce something later. I think it is kindof crazy for Nikon to be annoucing a new pro film camera at this stage of the game. I noticed that they still appear to be promoting the F3 in their film camera lineup. -dan c.
