Hello!
I'm new on LUG, and I'm very happy to see the different opinions about my
initial comments. Participate in workshop is a good idea if you have the
time to spend, or to invest, on it; I live in Spain... IMHO I think that my
photographic level is quite satisfactory for my needs and interests (street
photography), well when I have a few time I'll show some of my pictures on
the LUG Gallery.
I always think that many photographers we are so much concerned by the
technique, equipment etc.. About 20 years ago I was followed the Ansel Adams
books and practice his techniques of the famous Zone System, one day I've
showed my pictures to a photographer and friend of me, he said me "Luis,
they are nice pictures, but static, don't forget that the most value thing
in the photography is the capability to catch the live, the moment", this
has completely changed my approach and I've started a different and
passionate style; what I've learned with the Ansel Adams books was very
useful to know how to expose and develop what you have see, I think that
every photographer should reed "The Negative", a comprehensive method not
only for the darkroom.
Best!
Luis
