I have been shooting canon eos since the first AF 620 came in 88 i think.
The canon equipment has never let me down and the L lenses are very sharp
and the Autofocus has always been a tad better then Nikon. Never liked the
flash though- never liked the feel of plastic on the cameras - I dont enjoy
canon as a tool as I enjoy leica, hasselblad and rollei as tools but never
the less canon is a pretty good tool! I can swittch it to manual focus,
manual metering etc. or I can go fully auto - and even in fully auto I get
very nice exposures SO Leica and Contax cameras are just as pro as canon but
fewer Pros use them - I dont think it is a price issue I think its a trend
and comfort issue - yesterday I tried to follow two herons that had just
taken off the ground with a vaist level finder and a "mirrored" view with a
hasselblad - it would have been great if I had brought my canon with the 300
mm L
cheers Ruben
