Ruben,

I seem to recall that you get a dialogue at one point or another during
the install asking you which file types you would like to associate with
ACDSee (a lot of program do this). Perhaps the defaults are to associate
.TIFF, .JPG and possibly others to ACDSee. If you agree to the defaults
and these file types were associated with Photoshop/Imageready then it
will "steal" the association from them and assign them to ACDSee.

Just remove the tick-marks in that dialogue.

I don't remember ACDSee doing anything I didn't agree to. But you do have
to be on your toes. Some programs have a "do nothing" as default instead
of making active suggestions.

I like ACDSee a lot too. I'm just a little irritated that it doesn't
handle the Nikon NEF (raw) files.
