Steve,
See this link for several of the adapters:

http://www.pacificrimcamera.com/catalog/ah31.htm

Specifically see item 50747, 62720, and others. If you have the lens
then using scale focus the 24 F1.4 will work fine although 1.4 at four
feet will be interesting to try.

As to the plastic thingy Stephen commented on, a little carving on a
piece of plastic will do it. The item is truly just a slightly curved
piece of plastic that holds the arm of the lens open so that the new FD
lenses will stop down properly once mounted to the camera.

However, I would follow the advice to pick up an old F1 or EF or T90 and
dedicate the body to the lens. F1's and EF's in particular can be
picked up for nada due to the digital changeover.

a Canon 24mm f1.4 L slr lens exists ...does anyone
know if this can be modified for Leica R or M
mount.... ?

Does anyone have one for sale, even for Canon R
