The R-E is the sleeper of the electronic Leica SLR
line. The various bugs were well worked-out by the
time it was released and I've known several top pros
that relied on this model in tough conditions.

If the price is really right (it should be -- this was
a "budget" model), this may be a smart choice as a
first or second camera for those who need the
electronic R features.
