Rei,
Will is correct on the tack repair front. You are close enough to horse
country that there should be several "English" tack shops. Call them up
and ask who does halter, hackamore, bridal, and stirrup repair for their
customers. Another tack, ask some of your neighbors who keep horses who
repairs their tack. With a choice of leather and finish, what could be
better?

i have some older cameras and lenses with leather cases in some
instances the
movable leather hinges have cracked or split or the stiches have come
undone.

are there places which restore
such things? i don't expect it to be cheap, nor do i insist the repair
be
100% "authentic." it's just that some of these cases are very handsome
and
it's a shame not to use them.

thanks in advance for any info.
