I have an M1. It has a viewfinder but no rangefinder. That's even
dumber, as it is just something else to fog up. I have a 25/4 Color
Skopar on it.

Thanks to another LUG member, I now have a MDa camera. Why did I buy
the
ultimately dumbed down Leica M body?
The negatives:
It has no VF
It has no RF
It has no meter

The positives:
It has an M bayonet on the front.
It has a accessory finder foot on top.
I has no (wretched) twist knob to rewind the film.
It is probably the least desirable M Camera made, and therefore sells
for
less than any other M body.

It is just peachy for my 15mm Heliar lens!

Thanks John.
