Your husband is an engineer and he does not understand the reason for a new
computer every 5 years? What kind of engineer is he?
I have a similar problem with my boss (Wife), she is an accountant, so that
explains her reluctance. ;-) We were in Best Buy a month ago and I found
that they had a huge discount on this E-Machines laptop, and I got her to
give in. ;-) Of course my company also gives a 20% rebate for any
computers and selected related items, so the final price worked out to be
around $400 for the laptop. ;-) I wanted to get a Power Book, but I could
not turn this down.

Yes, I had been lobbying for a new computer for awhile so I'm not at all
upset about the lightning ;-) My business manager husband who is still
using his ancient Gateway for his engineering business doesn't understand
why I need a new computer every 5 years or so!!
