Subject: [Leica] hot air balloons

Having reviewed the pictures before reading Greg's reply, I chose two
that I think are the ones I would prefer; number 6 and number 8. The
balloon in number 6 is powerful and is, of course, the primary subject
of your photographs. The fellow on the right helps balance the balloon.
While the exposure in number 8 is not as good as 6, I like the
composition. The other photographer shows "action" and directs the
viewer's attention to the balloon. BUT, the clincher - for me, at least
- are the ascending balloons in the sky behind the primary balloon. They
add something that I can't explain but without them the shot would be
"ordinary".

As Greg has already said, the subject is a difficult one and made more
so by using B&W film. IMO, you did very well.
