I used to blame the new Tri-X, but since the negatives look just fine, I'm starting to think it's the Minolta scanner (el-cheapo, not their best one). What film, scanner and developer are you using? The shots are great ... not a lot of "livsgl?dje" ... "celebration of life", but very effective. I like how you got up close so that the mood dominates. I like the feeling too that you can do it. The west is still a civilized place. Try that in some of the streets I've visited in Africa ... you might get hurt ... you WILL get hurt.
