Buy a Noctilux and carry it around for a week or two. Voila! Your Asph 
is now light as a feather :-)

Seriously though, the Asph weighs in at 310 grams and the non-Asp at 
245 (early) to 195 (late) grams. Not that much difference really. I 
removed the hood from my Asph and it is now one of my "small" lenses.
