time to take it to the Forum - but - the fact is that

a) there hasn't been a significant improvement in airline/airport security
in areas that really matter. What has happened is a major increase in
inconvenience for air traveller and large expenditures of federal funds.

b) sooner or later something dreadful will happen again with an aircraft and
you can bet your bottom dollar that all the supposed increased security will
be shown to have been completely ineffective.
