In the late 1970s American Bar Assoc meetings took me to New Orleans several times, staying often at the old Roosevelt - now Fairmont - Hotel. Almost out the back door was Alfredo's shop (actually about two blocks away) that I stumbled onto. What pulled me in the first time I walked past the window was the array of variegated painted Leicas, mostly M2's and M3's but I seem to recall one or two screw-mount Leicas. It was a joy to schmooz with him about cameras, Leicas and vintage sports cars, mostly Ferraris as I recall. Does anyone know how to get in touch with him?
