Check the archives, this has been around for a while. A 278xxxx 
sounds like a very early batch. Anyway, if you can't tell your finder 
is old, why worry? If you finder is flaring, then it's the old one. 
If it doesn't, it's either new or  you have one that doesn't flare or 
you're using it in situations where it doesn't flare. In any case, 
it's really the same.
