Does any of you have pics, specs, where-to-buy info or anything? That would solve my 'problem' with R lenses and without R body. About the lens performance, is it same with FD and adapter than std R body? Thanks in advance, Juha Immonen Finland - -- Joakim Ahnfelt, August 29, 1997 I enjoyed Sean's article on the Contax SLR's. I'm also going through a similar dilemma with my system. I'm a Canon A1, T-90 user and have a small collection of FD lenses. However I've been drawn by the Zeiss quality since I purchased my G-1 a few years ago. I use the G-1 quite a bit and have not had many problems with it, but alas the lens selections is limited. To my surprise, I discovered that the Canon bodies had a shorter lens mount to film distance. I started to explore the possibility of mounting other system lenses onto the Canon. I found a Leica R to Canon FD adapter recently which I use for the old Leica Visoflex lenses. The infinity focus was preserved very well and I did not have any problems with it. I also have a few Zeiss Medium Format lenses that are 'adapted' to Canon via T-Mounts and M-42 adapters. - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
