I was particularly horrified to hear some people dismnount their lenses so they will snuggle safely in the 803 or whatever bag. How unfair this is to your lens and camera, who love to be co-joined for the express purpose of making pictures. Yet some disengage the coupled pair and banishing them to different compartments in the case! Domke makes a wonderful storage device that has not been discussed on this thread. It is called the Domke Strap! You hang your camera over the shoulder, or even around your neck, and it is available for you to use anytime. Marvelous concept. Free your cameras! They want light, not snuggly protection inside your choice of inserts! Camera bags are for film, the lenses you are not using for the moment, maps, a micro-fiber cloth, and a bottle of water.
