Ah, the snowstorm of 2000.

At the time, I was very unhappily doing a very unpleasant rotation at Duke
with the universally-acknowledged "meanest resident ever to hit Duke" so
was _very_ happy to take the "that's a lot of snow" excuse and avoid the
hospital for a few precious days.

The only problem was that I was trapped at my then-girlfriend's (now
wife's) house with nothing warmer to wear then scrubs (!), athletic shoes
(!!), and a jacket. I ended up pulling a trash bag over each leg and
taping them up around my thighs before putting on my sneakers for the walk
to Kroger and Visart (video store) on 15/501. (Perhaps we passed you
there?) The trash bags kept me pretty dry, but sneakers don't give the
best snow-traction!

Glad to see another Duke fan around here...there don't seem to be that many
of us at large! We're looking pretty good this year, I'd say.

Best from Durham,
Aaron
