Ginni is working the early shift at the homeless charity in Oxford today and Sheenagh is on holiday at Kirsty's so I am doing e-mails in peace & quiet! This is the first weekend home this month. I was listening to Jaques Brel LPs on Thursday! What a coincidence. I have often thought the saturated films look impressive but inaccurate in the same way as the old boom & tizz (loudness) buttons used to make the sound impressive but inaccurate. Almost on topic, I may get round to comparing my old 400 & 560 f6.8 lenses with my new C*non 500 today. The 280 f2.8 did not come off better, the boke in particular being harsher - not good in a tele lens where the majority of the frame area is often OOF. I have no visit planned to Vancouver this year sadly, will you be in England again? all the best Frank On Sunday, February 22, 2004, at 09:05 am, Henning Wulff wrote: > At 6:53 AM +0000 2/22/04, Frank Dernie wrote: >> Some people prefer the sound of their stereo with the "loudness" >> button pressed ;-) >> Frank >> >> On Sunday, February 22, 2004, at 12:24 am, Allen Graves wrote: >> >>> Maybe we're talking corporate taste-say Canon glass+Fuji Velvia vs. >>> Agfa RSX + Leica glass.
