This is the problem with the Visoflex system as well IMHO. The great thing about the M system is (actually) its ease of use ... the optics are of secondary importance. Of course in ease of use I include fast maximum F stops, which allow shots to be taken that would otherwise be ruined with a flash. As far as I am concerned, the best digital sensor available today is a roll of any good slide or color print film taken to a good one hour minilab ... works great with my scanner and photoshop :-)) People that really need the convenience and speed of digital (e.g. news photographers) basically don't really care (or ought not to care) about subtle differences between Leica R and Canon L lenses.
