My gracious, I don't know what has come over me. I never post this much! :-)

But this is so true. When I was learning to preach my mentor very carefully read
what I planned to say, looked at me, and said, "This is three sermons. Which one
do you wnat to give?" She was right. She went on to say, "Remember this as a
rule. Just give one sermon at a time. Many people don't and they almost always
get into trouble as a result."
