Good point, the 3000 can hold a lot of ink. I'm also looking at the 1280 which can use bulk ink sets. I fear the 3000 may be out of my price range.

You can't use Piezography with the 2200. The new Epsons are chipped to
prevent using 3rd party inks. You have to use the Epson inks in their
small, expensive cartridges.
