Yes, ink costs can be high... I'm also printing mainly colour  most
recently - I am busy scanning a couple of hundred 8x10 transparencies from
my current project... never mind ink costs trying to find enough storage for
those 800/900mb scans is hellish...:-)

Yes the 4000 will take the two different sized biggie cartridges from the
7600/9600.

The 4000 does look interesting. But I'm also tempted by the 7600 - but then
a RIP for B&W costs whoa too much more... and so it goes  :-(  And Epson is
(ha ha haaa) claiming better B&W for the 4000 - epson price $1795, so street
price lower
