Hi Buzz,
I agree with you on this point particularly. And can't figure out what all
the weeping and difficulties are about a damn shutter speed dial going one
direction or another, or the size making a major difference. Certainly to
hear some of them.

From the inception of the M4 right through to the M6' s I worked almost
daily with three of them hanging around my neck right up until early this
year when I went all M7's and never blinked an eye in the physical handling
switch over.

Heck the M7's came out of the box, were loaded, hung and shooting an
assignment before they had a roll him them to make sure they were working
correctly.... I admit that's a bad way to start as it can lead to screw-ups,
I didn't have time. Not even for a one roll test just in case. However, they
worked flawlessly, handled like dreams, not that I didn't think the other
models didn't, but the M7's just made shooting so much easier and fun.

But if one is a user like me who just does it without constant worrying,
wonder why, questioning every little design thing, one has a much better
time of picture taking. And that's been my life of photography. I suppose
I've missed and screwed up the odd thing because I didn't read something,
but what the hell big deal, here I am still punching away after 52 years
albeit slower! ;-)

I know some folks think and fiddle at things way too much instead of loading
film and out shooting as fast as they can. And "....learn by doing...."
instead of reading, worrying and questioning every damn little thing. If
they just got at it right away they'd be far better off than getting all
squiggly over whether a shutter speed dial went one way or another.

You see if they just used their camera every day, their fingers would become
naturally acclimatized to the camera configuration and they'd use the camera
like breathing, without thinking about it and become far better
photographers. And without question have a hell of a lot more fun! :-) And
isn't that what it's supposed to be all about, fun?
