Why would I want to do what you suggest? I have a funkey
1930s enlarger which came with a lens which is of about the
same age. The only reason I keep any semblance of a wet
darkroom is to use this lens and this enlarger. While my
friends on the IRC send me post cards printed conventially,
I get a hoot out of printing postcards on Ilford postcard
paper in b&w. And my method of choice is the 1930's
enlarger.

And after reading your court case regarding you eye surgery,
I am surprised that you can tell the difference.

| Yes, the old E. Leitz NY lenses were not coated. They
were made
| by Woolensock and were awful! Get a good modern lens made
by
| Rodenstock, Schneider or Nikor and you will get results
equal to
| the worlds best. They all make lenses that screw right
in. Don't
| handicap yourself. The enlarger is capable of superb
results!
