Here's what we did in NW Indiana....
We would buy a mountain of corn from a local farmer
Pack all the corn in cloth or net bags and drop them in the lake (Wolf Lake)
Let the corn soak in the husk overnight
Our BBQ grills were 55gal drums that had been cut in half and converted to
grills.
Stoke the mesquite/hickory charcoal
Place the corn, soak husk and all on the grill
When the husk is smoking but not quite on fire pull it from the grill.
Peel off the husk, and dip the entire ear into a 2-3 gallon pot filled with
melted butter
