Subject: RE: [Leica] Is It "analog" or Is It Digital? Drifting OT at tad

Err -- photons are not analog, really. Neither is film, really (consider
grain). Analog is just an approximation to the source -- i.e. reality -- but
I have absolutely no idea what reality is, in reality :-)
All reproductions of reality that try to convey an emotion or a message (aka
"art") are merely conventional reproductions of "reality". The conventions
vary by society and culture. There is no one right way (except mine, of
course).
Do you think that "analog recorded audio" reproduces the sound that
Beethoven, e.g., had in mind when he wrote his music -- using an essentially
digital notation?
What this has to do with Leica photography, I have no idea.
