There were no snakes around, so I think we're safe. Actually, I started it. Katya initialy thought it was too thorny to get in where there were ripe blackberries. I figured out a way to trample down a couple of vines and hook a couple more onto each other to get them out of the way. I filled about 1/3 of a sandwich bag. Then she goes in there and proceeds to fill the rest of the bag. Re. the Eve story: We both passed on the crabapples in a nearby tree. This tree is famous in our family. Years ago, a Russian immigrant family we befriended came upon this tree. Their two little girls proceeded to climb the tree and strip it bare. I think they filled up two supermarket plastic bags with crabapples. The episode has been a joke between us ever since. - --Peter > When my girl finds something edible growing on a tree or a vine, she > goes for it: > http://www2.2alpha.com/~pklein/DiscoveryPark/6552OneMoreBerryWeb.jpg > http://www2.2alpha.com/~pklein/DiscoveryPark/6547HaveaBerryWeb.jpg Daniel Ridings <daniel.ridings@muspro.uio.no> wrote: > Now Peter, they've been doing that a loooooooooong time.
