George,
What a horrible story: it is something more fearful than the threat of 
terror in some ways, total repression, by "security" gone nuts. I 
recently went to a Circus Oz performance and was delighted to find that 
the posted restriction was to "flash" photography, but even though my 
M6 didn't have a flash, the security explained that it looked like it 
did, and that was enough, BUT at least I was not thrown out, when I 
agreed to stop shooting. Horrible.
