If the proposed combination of chip and software produce clean, 10mp digital images up through equivalent 800 asa for under $5000. You cannot call the technology overpriced or outdated. If you research the state of the art - Leicašs plans fall right in the ball park. 2004/05 may bring a break-through. However, Išve heard of none on the horizon. I expect that the Canon 1ds will be the one to beat for at least a couple years. And I doubt that its price will drop much below the current $7500 until someone really does something significantly better.
Right now the Canon 10d at $1500 canšt be beat for 6mp.
