Well, I may be totally wrong - but my understanding is precisely the
opposite. That is, that Nikon is NOT going full-frame, and is producing
a line of smaller, lighter digital lenses. But only time will tell. ;-)

Yes, end this year Nikon will release a new (expensive)digital
prof-system with a larger diameter lens mount than its F-bajonet. Rumour
also says that this year Nikon will introduce  a new digital 6M-SLR,
