 From what I've seen of the pictures, that's not unlikely. Or an 
element has been left out.

It's a bit hard to see from the pictures, as the contrast seems to 
have been cranked way up to highlight the light falloff and the 
pictures are too low res to comment on the corner quality, but if the 
corners are severely soft or mushy, there might indeed be a problem 
with an element.

In that case, I'd like to retract my previous comments on light 
falloff not being a QC problem. I thought of QC in the context of 
slight misalignments or poor seating of elements, not of one being 
left out or in backwards. :-(
