Steve--

Yes, that invercone! Love that thing! That meter is still in my camera bag,
and it works! Little solar powered gem, in its black leather case. Very
cute.

I did note the smiley! I should have stuck the invercone in my professor's
viewfinder eye, given all the grief he gave me! ;-) (Note the wink!)

You should have just stuck the invocone (sp) and used it as an incident
meter ;-) Please, please, please note the smiley!!!

Jerry--

So true. When I was in college, my photo professor, who was an absolute
tyrant, did teach us about light meters; he made everyone buy a Weston
Euromaster and a Kodak Gray Card. We had to carry that bloomin' gray card
with us everywhere we went, and he always made us meter off the card. I
remember he said, "whatever it is that you measure with that meter will be
middle gray in your picture." Most everything else he tried to hammer into
our heads I tried desperately to forget, but what a light meter does wasn't
one of them. I always remembered that whatever you meter in the scene will
be middle gray in your picture.
